design1 & design2 – Final Site Presentation

Topics

For either web design 1 or 2, if you created a final project site OR if you did code-a-longs, you need to create a presentation of your work. Presentations will follow a common pattern for both classes with minor differences in the technical presentation.

Presentation Requirements

Create a Google slide presentation which is accessible to anyone with the link.

Create the following slides for your presentation:

  • Title slide with the name of the site and your name, username, or discord name. USE the typography and color palette of the site.
  • A slide or set of slides which show screen shots of your site. FILL the slide with the screenshoot, DIVIDE into slides if needed, and DO NOT distort.
  • A slide with the primary palette and typography of headings and body text. USE the typography and color palette of the site to showcase.
  • A set of slides to showcase how HTML/CSS works to solve a particular layout problem. Web Design 2 will also showcase Sass code.
    • A slide with a screenshot of the portion of the site to be given a technical showcase;
    • A slide with the relevant HTML;
    • A slide with the relevant Sass (Web Design 2 only)
    • A slide with the relevant CSS
  • A slide with a link to the site hosted on your server. Also link a compressed directory of your site (zip file) so that I can download it.

For the blog

Give a description of which HTML/CSS/Sass you chose for your presentation. Describe which ‘CSS Tricks’ you liked in particular for your choice. Describe how it works using the language of code to the best of your ability.
