design2 – final weeks

Topics

For the remainder of the semester your goals should include completing all tutorial and problem sets from the first two-thirds of the semester, as well as reporting out on each week with a blog post. I’ve had the opportunity to speak to many of you one-on-one about your current status and I hope you’re feeling ok about where you stand.

Those that eclipse this point (many of you will soon) will have a choice of work: final project or Trillo code-a-long.

FINAL PROJECT

Build a html/css/sass template of your choice inspired by good design discovered by researching curated web design resources. You expand on your initial template work will follow a process of selecting, modeling, and building your template.

TRILLO CODE-A-LONG

Tutorials

As part of this decision process, I want you to watch and complete the first few Trillo project tutorials:

Problem Set

Consider a possible choice for website HTML/CSS/Sass template project.

Research good examples of design at any of the following sites:

Pick a site and particular ‘components’ from the site: landing page, card, product page, etc… and take a screenshot of those pages/components. Describe what kind of content you’d like to use rebuilding that template and how you’d use it.

For the blog

Having done a bit of preliminary work in each pathway, describe which one you’d like to pursue for the remainder of the semester and why.
